A long time wish of Heinz Wildhagen has finally become true to record songs from Franz Schubert with guitar accompaniment. The guitar was often used as accompaniment when these works were first performed. The lucid sound of the guitar gives Schubert's music a lightness and buoyancy rarely heard with piano accompaniment. After sorting through over 800 Schubert songs - 18 songs were selected for this recording. Some of these songs are original arrangement, whilst some were revised with great empathy by Klaus Jäckle himself. Monika Teepe & Klauf Jäckle chose the title: "Night and dreams" ("Nacht und Träume").

It seemed to represent romance, filled with emotion and mystery.
