What is CAT-7 Cable ?

CAT-7 cable standard was ratified in 2002 to allow 10 Gigabit Ethernet for over 100 meters of copper cabling. It contains four twisted copper wire pairs. In CAT-7 cable, four pairs of twisted copper wire are separated shielded to achieve the best crosstalk performance.

Also this grounding wire can strength the cable and prevent from being broken when you pull it.
